In doing so, Angels protect humankind and all of its inhabitants. Angels aren't allowed to kill humans or any monsters besides demons, and George is one of the oldest human-born Angels to believe in this rule.
George represents Heaven. Though he has a little bit of a rebellious nature, he still holds true to protecting the innocent and even some of the 'not so innocent'. You won't find him fraternizing with anyone, knowing that someone nearby isn't safe and out of harms way. He lives to protect.

Fear: Falling in love, failing to protect all of humanity
Character History: Georgius was born in Syria on 275 AD. This was a time where Rome was at the pinnacle of its success. His father was a soldier in the Roman army who died when Georgius was young (how young is unknown). At the age of 15 without his mother's consent, Georgius joined the Roman army under the command of a Roman Centurion who befriended his father.
By the time Georgius reached the age of 23, he became the youngest Centurion (General) to command the 5th Legion in Roman history. His combination of brilliance in battle and angelic charm and features made him an asset to Roman society. All the while, this Syrian born Roman soldier held to his Christian beliefs.
What the history books fail to describe is the downfall and complete disappearance of the 5th Legion. Georgius was given a command by Caesar himself to spread his conquest to the British Isles. Georgius found civilization there and warred with the native English factions. However, this war turned to a ceasefire as one of the tribal leaders opened a portal to Hell (better known as Stonehenge) that unleashed an army of Demons. This tribal leader used supernatural force to try and force the Romans out of their homeland. The leader of the Demons deceived the tribal leader into believing that if he awakened the Stonehenge, the English tribes would be given sanctuary. And that the Romans would be taken care of. This Demon was the son of Satan, better known today as the Antichrist. He came out of the portal in the form of a dragon.
Demons lie, however. It's what they do and how they go about doing their business. The English tribes soon found themselves fighting alongside the Roman army in a battle that lasted three days. The lesser demons were vanquished with what they were born in. Fire. That is afterall, the only way to kill a Demon as a human. The hills of their battlefield grew stained with blood and bodies of both humans and demons alike. Two foes survive the seemingly endless bloodshed. Georgius, who represents all that is pure and good in the world. And the Antichrist, who will never die, will never rest until all of humankind is obliterated. This is where the legend of Saint George is born.
Saint Michael, the Archangel witnesses this battle from afar and lends the young Roman General his skills. Using the Right Hand of God, a sword used to cast Lucifer out of Heaven by Michael himself, George cast the Antichrist into the portal and sealed Stonehenge with an eternal seal of Divinity. The cost for sealing a portal to Hell shut is not only your life but your eternal soul. Michael warned George of this before giving him the Right Hand. However, if George didn't cast a Divine Seal, there was a chance that Stonehenge would be opened again. George didn't want anyone to through what he went through. So as a failed and disgraced Roman General, George sacrificed himself to help protect humanity.
The death of George is what christened him as a Saint in the kingdom of Heaven. Very few of Heaven's inhabitants become Angels. It's a thing that can only be accomplished through impossible acts of love and valor. George loved the world more than his own life. Eternal life was his reward.
The price to pay for eternal youth and Angel powers is also eternal however. He was commanded upon his Saint christening to remain on Earth and protect the humans from even a hint of demon. To this day, that is what George Lydda has done. Country after country. Province after province. Humankind will never touch a demon again. Or so we think...
Character Powers: Superstrength, Superspeed, Superdurability, Teleportation
Strengthens: Angels have abilities akin to Superman. Without the flying.
Weaknesses: Angels cannot use these powers in strife. They are not allowed to kill or even seriously hurt monsters and humans alike. They are not allowed to use these powers in acts of Sin. They are only allowed to protect and save. Any violation of this code of conduct will result in the Angel being stripped of power. They would be forced to live a mortal life. Angels aren't typically allowed to fall in love, because they're not allowed to marry. If an Angel engages in sexual intercourse, they become human. This is the golden rule of Angels. No sin of any kind. Only acts of kindness.
Two things can kill an Angel without turning said Angel to human form. A fellow Angel could do it if there was a good enough reason for it (if not, that Angel would be stripped of his/her powers). Also, because Demons are typically Fallen Angels that rebelled against Heaven and chose a life of Sin, they can also kill Angels. Any Angel for that matter from the lowest in rank to St. Michael himself can be slain. No Angel is completely safe against a Demon.
Other: If you wish to add more then go for it, the more we know about this character the better!
