H EART IS STURDY » "Don't even."growled the Scottish teenager. It was far too early for this kid to be toying with him. And Kinkade's pride was far too evident for this kid to honestly believe he wasn't going to regret the snide remark whether Kins was known to be patient or not. But Kins didn't throw a punch like he wished he could. He just stood there, his eyes narrowed. The tension was almost tangible which was precisely why a classmate -- he didn't know her name, but he didn't know the name of the kid he was mad at, either, or the names of ninety percent of the people he encountered -- decided to place her hand on the other boy's shoulder and break it up.
"Hey, Elliot, did you hear the bell? Class is starting. Don't we have first period with your new British friend? Come on, we can all walk there- maybe then the teacher won't be so hard on us if we come in late with the new kid."the girl was offering. Kins turned his attention to her when she was speaking, his posture easing, his fists unclenching. No need to be mad now. Elliot seemed to realize this, too.
"No, I'm fine. You guys go ahead."Kins objected casually, a smile tugging at his lips. The girl nodded before she pulled Elliot away in the opposite direction down the hallway. Kins watched them for a few more moments, strangely reassured by the encounter. All around him people began filing into the hallway so he did the most logical thing he could think of; move away. He slipped out past them all, opening the door of the building until the sun met his face. This was better. Kinkade closed his eyes, his back pressed against the wall of the building as he waited for the crowd beyond the wall and doorway to dissipate. The sound of the familiar busy hallways and unfamiliar tension around inside of the air is what had brought me back here. My mind had been currently set else where, but with the quick exchange of words and a flaming temper I knew that something interesting was maybe bound to happen soon.
If he got a punch out of one of the other kids the smell of blood inside of the air would only have probably made things worse, since more then just vampires roamed around inside of these school walls. I laughed softly to myself at the thought of the first school out break of the season but then again, nothing interesting ever did happen here.
As I passed silently through the school halls I looked straight at the kid in question. His scent was different then most of the other students; he seemed to smell more human to me then ever. I tilted my head while I walked in thought, thinking of some first words, but coming up with nothing I just blurted some out as I stopped a few steps beside him."Name is Tyson, what is yours kid?" I smirked slightly knowing well that he could possibly be twice or even three times my age.

H EART IS STURDY » It was official. The school must be full of punk kids. Or, at least kids who were out to frustrate the new kid. Which ever it was, it was neither here nor there. Kinkade turned to Tyson with more patience than he'd displayed with the last kid. After a sharp inhale, he did literally turn to face the boy speaking to him.
"My name's Kade."Kinkade offered shortly, his tone slightly mumbled as if it'd help hide his accent. It was a bit difficult with how loud he had to speak just to be heard over the din of the other students. He completely ignored the whole 'kid' reference, though he didn't want to. Now wasn't the time to make enemies so quickly.
"Don't suppose you're the welcoming committee- do you need something?"Kinkade added, hoping to scare away any good intentions the kid may have had."Kinda not a good time- I still have to find my class. " Yes, Kade could have (and should have) followed the other kids- they knew where he was going. But his pride wouldn't allow it.[/blockquote] ✘kins [/blockquote] « BUT IT NEEDS ...

Kade. He had raised a soft brow at the males name, since it was not one that he had bumped into yet.He even had to say it himself once to make sure that he was saying it properly."Kade." He had already noticed the males vocal traits of his accent, but his thoughts on that soon drifted away as he quickly answered the males question."It's not my job to welcome them, but it is to watch over them." he nodded softly with a light smile."What class are you taking?" he then quickly added.
Alright...so he was a little rusty when talking to a new face, but he was glad that the fear of someone else wanting to touch him was offically gone. His mind then began to drift back towads the older academy before it had shut down.It was a shame though since he was hoping to maybe bump into Dimiter once again, the look a like teen who had tossed him from that window and taken the very last of his life.He frowned softly in thought, while waiting for the other male to reply. He was still unsure as to what race this kid even was...maybe he should stop calling him kid.

H EART IS STURDY » Tyson's answer was fascinating to Kade. He was going to watch over them? For no other reason than that sentence, Kade resolved himself to be kind toward the other male, despite their less-than-ideal first encounter (at least by his own standards). Forgiveness was essential, wasn't it? Kade smiled politely.
"Oh, headmaster's son or something?"Kade prompted nonchalantly, his tone pleasant. He wasn't even sure if the head of the school was headmaster, but the term came naturally to his lips from years of having a headmaster himself.
"My next class is science in some persuasion or other- I'm not even certain."Kade admitted. With that said allowed, he decided it'd probably be a good idea to make certain, so he glanced away from Tyson to look down at his pocket as he dug within it to find the folded piece of paper. After only a few seconds his gaze lifted back to Tyson as he absently- and clumsily- started to unfold the schedule. ✘kins [/blockquote] « BUT IT NEEDS ...

He laughed softly as the other male had thought of him as the head master, he might have been considered old enough to be one, but shaking his head he replied back."I'm just known as a protector...but you can say that I have been here for a while." He smiled softly knowing that he had been dead for almost four..five years now.
His voice then seemed to soften some, less harder then it had appeared before, or maybe it was just himself thinking over things to hard like normal, but watching the other male as he pulled out a piece of paper he slightly tilted his head.Science, he could still remember the long hours that where spent studying for that subject, but nodding softly he then glanced down the hallway thinking of the easier ways to get there. It was not that he had a habit of getting lost, but someone easily could.
"I can show you easily where it is,what are your other classes for today?" His eyes began to search through the other males, while looking for an answer and he was still trying to find out what his species was.He looked human, but something about his scent was very different.

H EART IS STURDY » The news that Tyson was just a protector was slightly disappointing. In a different sense Kade was a protector himself, though he didn't claim to protect many at once.
"After that, power training."Kade read before a grin appeared. Power training? His power would be nearly impossible to be trained with unless the trainer fancied falling asleep while they did it. And, given he did fall asleep, Kade would certainly leave. But, of course, leaving would be what he considered a good use of his time, so he certainly wasn't worried about it in that respect.
"That's a pointless class- I guess I just have to worry about science for now."Kade chuckled, "Do you have to take that class, too? Power training, I mean. " [/blockquote] ✘kins [/blockquote] « BUT IT NEEDS ...\

Power training...the younger looking male was considering it pointless? Inside of his own mind Tyson was laughing at how the male had described it, but nodding softly he smirked."You can never get enough knowledge on a certain power." Maybe he was correct to keep on calling him kid, since he sure did act like one, no matter of his age or race."As well as a protector I am also a trainer as well.Though I don't think that someone like you would find flying easy." He laughed softly.
As his eyes drifted away from the males he then looked up thinking that he had heard someone calling his name, but mentally shaking his head he knew that his telepathy was just playing tricks on him again. It's what always happened when he had refused to drink blood for a week. Blood was still considered important towards him and was also a fast healer, but as to the reasons why he had stopped drinking it would be sure to stump anyone. He frowned lightly as his mind then went back to the male in front of him.

H EART IS STURDY » "Right,"Kinkade agreed passively, not feeling up to arguing or explaining why it'd be pointless in his situation. When Tyson went on to say he was a trainer, Kinkade was visibly startled. Really now? Kinkade brought a smile back to his lips to conceal the surprise.
"I have no aspirations of skillful flight, but in a distorted sense, my power does allow for flight."Kade murmured thoughtfully. He wasn't going to let Tyson's words insult him. The best response to accomplish that seemed honesty- after all, it wasn't like he spent time soaring through the air. A lot of people had dreams of falling- he was always there to catch them, defying 'gravity' (a non existent concept in dreams) to keep them safe. He drew his attention back to the present, smiling politely again.
"Angels are meant to fly,"Kade suggested, feeling no reason not to make his species known to the other boy. It didn't make much of a difference, after all. ✘kins [/blockquote] « BUT IT NEEDS ...

Tyson had raised yet another light brow at the male as he had agreed, even though at first it seemed as though he would not.Tilting his head slightly he looked at the male as a smile had spread across his lips and seeing that he was finding something more then just a small, simple smile he frowned slightly. He had always disliked when information was with-held from him, but mentally shaking his head, his eyes then flickered back up to the male when he had stated what he was.An Angel.
Angels, they where said to be another form for unearthly guardian of humans and what not and faithful servants that had passed on. He knew a little of their history but not much, hearing of what he was almost made him laugh since others he knew always called him an angel as well, but he knew that he was very far from ever being one."Interesting..." He smiled softly then.
"You are one of the first of whom I have bumped into here,I've meet almost every other species, but not yourself.If..I may ask..how old are you?" Tyson's thoughts where quickly going back and forth between when he had first meet him in the hallway and called him a kid. What should be say now about that? Unless..."kid" was going to be the nickname for him.

H EART IS STURDY » "Ah, well, age is just a number,"Kade replied with a shrug. It was a bit weird to tell a person, but Tyson did ask directly, and if Kade kept it to himself, Tyson would just think it was a bigger deal than it was. It wasn't him that cared; he'd lived all the years he could claim to. But others... They tended to find it a little strange, thinking they were talking to someone so much older than they were.
"I guess, right around a hundred, " It seemed useless to give an exact age. With this information out, the Angel couldn't help but be serious in demeanor. He tried so hard to be lighthearted, tried so hard to act like a regular teenager for the sake of everyone around him, but in the end, there was no doubting that he was different than the facade let on when he had reason to be. " So, what does that make you?"Kade prompted. " And how'd you get to be a trainer, anyway? Does that make you older than you look?" Maybe if the topic wasn't about him, he could tone down his own mood and pretend again. Besides that, truth be told, he didn't want to go to his science class at this point. The conversation was now much more engaging than it had been at first and, after years of learning the same material in school, it wasn't so bad to just not go.[/blockquote] ✘kins [/blockquote] « BUT IT NEEDS ...

Tyson's thoughts had began to slowly drift away once more as the other male started to half answer his question at first.Around a hundred was not the answer that he was looking for, but as Kade asked him a question in return he lifted a soft brow."In Vampire years I'm still considered a young one at only four or five years old, but to become a trainer age does not matter, as long as you know well what you are teaching." he smirked softly.
Although Tyson always kept himself learning new powers over the years that he had been turned. He knew well that he could help another shifted or werewolf with their first shift and how to help control themselves around a full moon. Since he had no pack status due to the fact that he was a loner not everyone was willing to listen to him. He frowned at that thought and then glanced towards Kade."You interested?"

H EART IS STURDY » "Mhm,"Kinkade agreed. It sounded like Tyson was giving himself a lot of credit, but he didn't know whether Tyson deserved that credit or not, so he didn't bother to say anything. It wasn't like he wanted to take on the responsibility, he was just curious how Tyson was able to.
"No, I'm not particularly interested in being a trainer or being trained. "Kinkade shrugged, " I have better things to do than learn new skills to pass on, at least in the area of powers, and I see no great use to having someone else trying to help me with mine. I do alright." It may have seemed like he was being stubborn, but it just wasn't practical to have help. Besides that, he really wouldn't be keen on being any form of teacher, unless the student he was teaching happened to be someone of his choosing who he felt needed him. For them, he'd learn anything that would make their life easier. But in general, Kinkade preferred not to know too many people if he didn't have to. " Why do you spend your time teaching people? Isn't it monotonous?"Kinkade questioned. That was the important question, ultimately.[/blockquote] ✘kins [/blockquote] « BUT IT NEEDS ...
