An ancient castle turned to a new purpose, it rests upon a jagged mountainside. A haven, a home, a sometimes-battleground, its halls are filled with the life of academia. Students and teachers, denizens of the night and the day, from all over the world come to learn and to teach knowledge both mundane and esoteric. The wildly varied races that dwell within these walls form a mosaic most curious. Strife born of misunderstanding, prejudice, and sometimes natural animosity often threatens to break the peaceful mission of scholastic study. Nevertheless, the residents persevere in their personal quests for self-betterment and success.
